New Delhi: On August 24, a video went viral on social media in a school in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, in which a case of a child being slapped by other children came to light. This matter was heard in the Supreme Court on Monday (6 November). During this time, the Supreme Court directed the UP government to get the child admitted in the school of his parents’ choice. From August 24, a video went viral on social media, in which a Muslim child was being beaten by non-Muslim children. This video was from a private school in Muzaffarnagar (Neha Public School Khubbapur Mansoorpur Muzaffarnagar).
After the video went viral and this incident came into politics, now the police administration had also come into action mode. The police had taken appropriate action by registering a case against teacher Trupti Tyagi under sections 323 and 504.
Where was this video from?
The viral video is said to be of a school in Khubbapur village of Mansoorpur police station area of Muzaffarnagar. In this viral video, it can be clearly seen that the teacher sitting in the class is ordering the children to slap one by one the child standing near the teacher. The teacher did not stop here, she told the children to hit her hard on the waist and not on the cheeks. The teacher is also seen making religious comments.
What did the victim’s father say?
After the video went viral, the father of the victim said, “It is not right to have a child beaten by others on the basis of religion. The teacher herself would beat him. Or some senior child would have beaten him, but he should not have been beaten by the children of the entire class in the name of religion. The child is completely scared by this incident.”
What explanation did the accused teacher give in this matter?
The teacher had said that I have been serving in this village for the last many years. Neha Public School, Khubbapur Mansoorpur Muzaffarnagar That day, his father had brought this child to school beating him and saying that he should be beaten tightly. I am disabled, so that child was not beaten by me. I told one or two kids to slap him. As soon as I said this, more children got up and started slapping him.
On the religious comment, the teacher said that this video has been distorted. I did not say this about Muslims. I had said that if all the Muslim mothers go to their parents’ homes, they should not take their children with them. Because exam time is near. Children’s education is being harmed.
But the boy uncle who made the video cut me off. Made it viral. At the same time, the teacher said that all the students who beat the child were not non-Muslims. Many of the children were Muslims too. The female teacher said that I have made a mistake. That I have made the children beat him.
