UKSSC: Commission files affidavit in High Court

Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UKSSSC) has recently filed an affidavit in the High Court regarding the Group G exam case.

In the affidavit, UKSSSC stated that the company RMS Techno Solution, which was contracted to conduct the examination, has been banned to ensure that such irregularities do not happen in the future. The affidavit also mentioned that it is not possible to identify the guilty and innocent candidates separately in this case. Therefore, the government will conduct the examination afresh without giving appointments to the previously selected candidates.

This decision came after the government cancelled the recruitment process of 916 posts due to the paper leak incident that took place during the examination conducted on December 4-5, 2021. The result was declared on April 7, 2022, and approximately 1.5 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. Out of these, 916 candidates were selected, and their certificates were also verified. However, after the complaint of paper leak, the police filed a case, and the government cancelled the appointments.

The cancellation of the recruitment process was challenged by the selected candidate Jagpal Singh and others in the High Court. The court has asked the state government and the recruitment commission to file a reply within six weeks, while the petitioners have been asked to file counter affidavits within two weeks. The next hearing of the case will be in May.

According to the sources, the UKSSSC has taken strict action against the company RMS Techno Solution and banned it from conducting any further exams. The decision was taken to ensure that such irregularities do not happen again in the future, and the recruitment process is conducted smoothly. The company has been accused of not following proper protocols and procedures during the exam, which led to the paper leak incident.

The cancellation of the recruitment process has caused disappointment and frustration among the selected candidates. Many of them have invested a lot of time and effort in preparing for the exam and were eagerly waiting for the results. The cancellation has not only affected their career prospects but has also caused mental stress and financial losses.

In the wake of the paper leak incident, the government and the recruitment commission have come under severe criticism for their lax approach in conducting the exam. The incident has raised serious questions about the transparency and fairness of the recruitment process. It has also highlighted the need for strict regulations and guidelines to be followed while conducting such exams to prevent any malpractices.

The case has garnered a lot of attention from the media and the public, who are closely following the developments. Many are expressing their views on social media platforms, and some are even demanding a CBI investigation into the matter. The incident has also sparked a debate on the effectiveness of the recruitment process and the need for reforms.

The UKSSSC has assured that the recruitment process will be conducted afresh, and all necessary steps will be taken to ensure transparency and fairness. The decision to ban the company RMS Techno Solution is a step in the right direction and sends a strong message to other companies that any malpractice during the recruitment process will not be tolerated.

The cancellation of the recruitment process is a setback for the candidates, but it is essential to maintain the integrity of the recruitment process. The incident has exposed the vulnerabilities of the system and has highlighted the need for a more robust and foolproof process. The government and the recruitment commission must take necessary steps to restore the confidence of the candidates and ensure that such incidents do not happen again.

The Group G exam case in Uttarakhand has raised serious questions about the transparency and fairness of the recruitment process. The cancellation of the recruitment process and the banning of the company RMS Techno Solution sends a strong message that any malpractice during the recruitment process will not be tolerated. It is now the responsibility of the government.
